On June 15th during the “Biopolymer Processing & Moulding Online Congress” Fabbri Group was awarded the first prize of the BIOPOLYMER Innovation Award for the Nature Fresh compostable solution.
Stefano Mele, CEO of Fabbri Group, commented: “We are glad to receive this relevant Award, which is an additional acknowledgement, on an international level, of the commitment and of the efforts that our Company makes towards the development of sustainable packaging solutions.
After one full year from its launch on the market, Nature Fresh has already been produced in hundreds of tons, and millions of compostable food packages have already been put on the global market. Nature Fresh can also boast the support of the European Union’s Research and Innovation Programme ‘Horizon 2020’, and won the historical Italian Prize ‘Packaging Oscars 2020’ and – through the Fabbri UK client Westaway Sausages – the UK Packaging Awards 2020.”
The BIOPOLYMER Innovation Award is given to pioneering products or applications of biodegradable polymers, made of materials that at the end of their life can be metabolized by microorganisms into biomass to become part of natural cycles.
It is promoted by the non-profit association POLYKUM, and includes an independent Jury with experts of Economy, Science, Politics and Media.
